Without repeating what other reviewers have covered, the following are the areas in which I learned the most from the book.
1) The status of Chicago before Capone and Torrio. And there are no colour pages (which would be great in a graphics book - even if it is "for Dummies"). His summary of each movie is honest and informative. First stop: Piccadilly Circus. The use of personal anecdotes also helps keeps the book interesting. This book gives you an supremely detailed look at the methods used by one master builder. He was the man responsible for pulling all the strings in Chicago! Frank was a sharp, entrepreneur who had the vision to consolidate the Chicago Mob. Will be looking for more books from Ms. Best Price Guide I could find. Brett eschews referring to JEDP issues explicitly, although those with such an interest will not find this commentary barren.
