IT IS UGLY AT TIMES, IT IS ABRASIVE AT TIMES , IT IS ALSO INCREDIBLY BRILLIANT FOR THOSE WHO KNOW RECOVERY WORK AND THE WORKINGS OF AN ADDICT'S MIND.JAY LETS YOU IN COMPLETELY AND SHARES HIS SHAME AND FEARS AND DOUBTS. While the book was meticulously researched, it lost some of its credibility with the author's own opinions sprinkled throughout. Seems unethical to me that he counsels people about very emotional and sensitive things but has such little counseling training.. The photos are understandably snapshot and Polaroid quality,
