This illustrated primer on philosophy is a great way to be introduced to a complex topic. In her easily accessible style, Margreet de Heer visualizes the history of Western philosophy and makes it approachable for those with little knowledge of the subject. The book explains the thoughts of philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Spinoza, and Nietzsche, and ponders questions such as What is thinking? What is reality? Is there free will? and Why are these ideas still important? A perfect introduction to exploring philosophical concepts, this humorous yet substantive graphic account strips the subject of unnecessary complexity.
I've found that reading a book once usually means I retain about 10% of the information.
Sections 47 - 63 actually consist of a 20 minute workout. If you enjoy more feeling oriented books, you might want to check out Geneen Roth's books, or Marianne Williamson's "A Course in Weight Loss".
Bill Cashell - Author of "The Emotional Diet". Find out who really killed Gerry Wright and Denise Atkins. The only problem I noticed is one error with a recipe measurement (omitted) and a soy product was listed as "beneficial" for blood type "B". I could easily spend an hour or more jumping around to the different cross references that are provided with each entry. Only about .01% will actually use it. A final noteFat is not the real culprit!. Give it a shot--it may take a while to see results, but I think your body's acceptance and performance will tell the real story.. Others are too slow or fast. We see how Nick handles being a suspect when he knows for certain he didn't do it
