Once you have read all the basic literature for going solo and then some advanced soaring to stay up there (I like Ken Simpsons Soaring Pilots book for that stage) you should then read this book. For those of us "boomers" and the "older" generation who remember Route 66 and the television show of the same name this book is a 'must have'. A little side note, I took an NCLEX review by Marlene Hurst, and loved it. It had nothing to do with EMs specifically, instead, Dreamtime simply reminded us of our place in the history of mankind. Tough guy raised in the bizz. Menus inserted at various points in the narrative reveal that Escoffier was flamboyant in the description of his culinary creations, often shamelessly naming them after the prospective guest of honor. Finally, the author suggests that there was serious opposition to free-wheeling scientific inquiry by some, because they feared it would undermine religion and remove absolute values.
