This is the first negative review I've ever written about a book. I liked the characters, especially the attitude of Erin in the beginning. He uses a fictional tour guide who travels like a ghost through time and over extensive geography to help us envision the numerous archaeological sites as they looked and felt when they were occupied by our Stone Age ancestors. Once you have read all the basic literature for going solo and then some advanced soaring to stay up there (I like Ken Simpsons Soaring Pilots book for that stage) you should then read this book. That's before Aiden Riordan startles her out of her contemplations. Jefferson was not interested in science for its own sake, but primarily if it had practical applications in the new nation. The book has no strong narrative. The first author, Michael Roizen, is the pioneer of the RealAge concept--i.e., the idea that age is better measured by lifestyle factors rather than chronology--and he incorporates much of this concept into the
