Had Bondeson been less opinionated, I would have liked the book more - his own views just really contrasted with the rest of the historical nature of the book.. Jimon has a perfected, near-impossible technique to use against Kyo, and even if he defeats this guy, he's still got to deal with the incredibly creepy miko who has a message from his past.

I just finished Warrior last night and will be starting Warlord as soon as I write this review. A charming little book about an animal collecting trip in South America. I had not been aware of his astute mathematical abilities. This effort had a lot of potential but fell short for a couple of reasons. Many of his letters, writings and sketches are used to show his scientific leanings. It's unclear and imprecise.
