It was one thing to avoid the subject of his own relationships when going for weekend drills or two week summer training, but it would be much tougher in the forced living situation he would face overseas for so long.
Lemer's well-written memoir is a clear argument why the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy has to go, as well as an interesting and poignant look at the everyday lives of soldiers deployed in situations like this. It is an easy to read book with straight-to-the-point information without the excess verbiage. Was looking for a collection of ideas and images of traditional Irish country "peasant" houses - as in thatched cottages - instead it was very heavy with upscale Anglo-Irish manor houses.. Extensive examples are given with Jefferson's `Notes on Virginia' which covered flora, fauna, geology and climate.
Thomson never shies away from the contradictory stands that Jefferson took on slavery, Indians and the poorer classes. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK IF YOU QUE
