The science is rather dense so non-biologists may struggle---but give it a shot anyway; the personality is compelling too. Parker's professional services I know that he generates both admiration and disapproval from people he has influenced through his work and through this book. None, with the exception of Mr. Lemer has created vivid descriptions about his experiences overseas, and those in the US while waiting to know where his division would be deployed. Just about every paragraph is full of both.. The only downside of this is, I wish there were more photos (there are LOTS of photos-I just wish this was one of those 1,000 page coffee-table books!).
